Empowering Communities Through Education

I first became involved with BTS as a part of its face-to-face personal tutoring programs. Then, when the summer came along, I learned about the different opportunitties.  Since I was going into my junior year, I decided to do the SAT Prep class. At first, I was kind of skeptical about it, because it was really early in the morning. But, as soon as I started taking the class, I realized that it was really helping me a lot. My vocabulary improved. It gave me strategies that I could use on the test: how to manage my time, what I should do, how not to lose time and stay focused. And it was an excellent experience for me.
